**Job Overview**
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, as the **Team Lead, Accounting **you will oversee and mentor Property Accountants. You also assist in completing full cycle accounting for the commercial portfolio and works closely with other internal departments and teams.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements and reporting for properties. Reviewing statements completed by property accountants.
- Supervising, developing and providing guidance to Accounting team.
- Reconciling intercompany monthly cash clearing.
- Processing monthly tenant improvement, leasing commissions and amortizations along with straight lining of rents.
- Completing various month-end processes in system, including close off periods, review unposted batches, vacancy allowance entries, management fee calculations etc.
- Assisting in annual budgets, CAM audits and reconciliations.
- Creating and reviewing analytical reports for management review.
- Setting up policies for process workflows and troubleshooting issues in system as required.

**Essential Requirements**
- Working towards or completion of accounting professional designation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in Property Management industry, preferably in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with Yardi system is required.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Access, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint), property management and accounting software (Yardi).

**Working Conditions**
You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Overtime may occasionally be required.
