**Job Title**: Consumer Insolvency Estate Manager

**Location**: Toronto, Hybrid

**The Role**

We are looking for a Consumer Insolvency Estate Manager who is experienced in the full administration of bankruptcy estates for our consumer insolvency practice. The Consumer Insolvency Estate Manager must be able to complete a file from beginning to the end (CP, PB). You will report directly to a Trustee and may have direct reports.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Reviewing file to determine whether all necessary documents are in our possession to ensure seamless administration
- Preparing all documents for sign up of new files including arranging for electronic signatures
- Electronic filing of documents to OSB
- Assisting in asset administration of both secured and unsecured assets and realization of assets
- Completing a seven-month file review
- Consolidated Trust and Estate Account Bank reconciliations and completion of bank reports pursuant to OSB directive
- Interim and final distributions
- Drafting of section 170 reports
- Preparing automatic discharge certificates
- Preparing court documents including the Trustee’s Supplementary Report and draft orders
- Meeting with the Trustee to prepare him or her for the court appearances
- Sending out revised notices of discharge
- Communicating with bankrupts, debtors, counsel and creditors in writing and by telephone and where necessary, face-to-face meetings with these parties
- Requesting and following up with debtor examination requests
- Other duties as may be required

**Education**:

- Estate Administrators Certificate (CIRP)
- BIA Counselling Designation
- College Diploma in Business or Administration

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Estate administrator role
- Expert Ascend experience an asset
- Extremely detailed oriented
- Strong organizational skills to multi-task and to manage a busy workload
- Computer skills to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Analytical skills to analyse account activities
- Written communication, spelling, grammar and proofreading/editing skills to compose letters, memos, etc.
- Good communication skills to speak effectively with debtors, creditors, staff and other third parties
- Interpersonal skills to deal with team members, staff and clients
- Ability to learn other computer software quickly
