Case Management Administrator

As a Case Management Administrator in the Case Management team, you will be reporting to the Case Management Administration Team Leader and will be responsible for all administrative functions regarding the receiving, and efficient processing, of client communications and clinical documentation within the claims system for medically managed cases. You will also be responsible for equitable workload distribution, ensuring to uphold accuracy, and quality of work for time sensitive files. Your role is to be an advocate for both the company and the client.
**What does your typical day look like?**
- Ensure integrity and accuracy in filing of documents;
- Accurately update claims files based on new information provided;
- Calculate reserves as per established guidelines;
- Contact providers for updated costs as required;
- Review new claims against the medical guidelines provided to determine if the case meets criteria to be assigned for active case management;
- Assign claims for case management by consulting the distribution guidelines and availability;
- Assign a case coordinator by consulting the distribution guidelines and availability.
**What skills and training do you need**?**
- Understanding of travel and/or health insurance, insurance & medical terminology, and case management experience is an asset;
- 1 year of equivalent insurance industry experience preferred;
- Minimum 1 year of experience at GEM required for internal applicants;
- Able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work appropriately;
- Can efficiently assess claims, while also being able to assess the integrity of case documentation and remediate errors/omissions;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel) strongly preferred;
- Able to quickly learn new software and operating systems;
- Strong written communication skills required.

**Schedule/Availability**: This is a full-time permanent position, must be available to work rotating shifts, days & evenings, and rotating weekends & holidays as required. Shifts between the hours of 7am and 11pm.
