As we continue to grow progressively, Libro is on a mission to find a passionately accountable full-time Investment Specialist supporting our Waterloo Region.

Our Investment Specialists take a proactive approach to helping our Owners achieve their financial goals. This includes understanding each Owner’s financial situation, life goals, and tolerance for risk. At Libro, Investment Specialists are encouraged to understand and communicate the long-term benefits of investment markets to generate excess returns over savings and GICs, and will always match the best investment to the Owner circumstances and risk tolerance.

A key part of the Investment Specialist role is collaboration with other staff. We build full financial relationships with our Owners by ensuring all opportunities are identified and referred to the appropriate business, commercial, investment or retail representatives. Mutual fund* sales will primarily involve a focused suite of mutual fund solutions, with an emphasis on responsible investment options.

What You'll Do - The Epic Human we are looking for will;
Build relationships and provide investment advice for Owners who are in early stages of wealth accumulation.

Translate Owner goals and priorities into goals-based planning calculators to form the basis of all future investment decisions for the Owner; review and update Owner planning calculators periodically.

Reach out proactively to Owners and prospects, responding to referrals, data insights and market intelligence to grow wealth portfolio.

Collaborate and refer opportunities seamlessly to our specialists to match expertise to Owner’s identified needs to ensure a full financial relationship, including forwarding more complex planning situations to our Financial Planners, and referrals to the Personal Banking Specialist.

Support effective sales management practices, along with developing and executing an individual business plan providing specific goals and targets aligned with brand, regional, and corporate plans.

Participate in networking, promotions, and location campaigns to build Libro’s brand and grow business.

What we are looking for - Could this be you?

Do you have, or are you willing to obtain with our support within 4 months of hire, the mutual fund licensing requirements for the role? (i.e., Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada Course or equivalent)

Libro puts an emphasis on lifelong learning. Successful Investment Specialists will be supported should they choose to pursue advanced learning such as the Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation, etc.
