**Job Title and Opportunity**

Field Laborer/Field Technician - You will receive health and safety training and cultural resource management training.

You will work outdoors, acquire technical knowledge and develop soft skills in a collaborative group setting. You will have the opportunity to discover and preserve culturally significant sites, strengthening our connection to the communities we live and work in.

This is a full-time contract position (37.5 hours/week). There are openings for:
April 1, 2023 - August 31 2023

April 1, 2023 - end of field season (December 1, 2023)

**Your contributions**

You will conduct field work on stage 2-4 archaeological assessments, surveying project areas using archaeological methods and tools; recording and collecting baseline data using prescribed data collection methods.

**Job Duties and Qualifications**
- Perform tasks productively, in a controlled manner, maintaining attention to detail.
- Comply with company policies and procedures in place to uphold the highest standards of cultural preservation.
- Ensure safe work practices on all projects, activities and operations by adhering to Archeoworks health and safety policies.
- Contribute to team success through a professional, respectful workstyle.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Environmental science and anthropology undergraduates, or graduates are encouraged to apply, though these qualifications, or experience in these disciplines are not a requirement
- A full G license in good standing is preferred.

**Location**

This position will be based in Toronto/GTA and surrounding areas, but additionally include out of town work for extended periods of time requiring overnight accommodations. Accommodation’s provided by Archeoworks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5-9 months
