Archaeologist (Field Based)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee field studies and manage subcontractors, lead field reconnaissance, field surveys, and excavation for archaeological studies.- Conduct research and writing for archaeological and cultural heritage assessments.- Perform literature review, artifact analysis and cataloguing.- Provide technical consulting skills to support the growth of ERM’s business and client base in the area of archaeology and cultural heritage.- Interact with other ERM service areas to share multi-disciplinary resources and best practices across the country.- Represent ERM through communications and at meetings with provincial/territorial and federal agencies.-
- Preparing reports to meet client needs.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Master’s degree in Archaeology or Anthropology or related field (with a focus in archaeology)- Ability to hold an archaeology permit in the north, particularly Nunavut.- Demonstrated ability to carry research to completion.- Excellent communication and computer skills.- Demonstrated business development abilities.- Ability to work within a team as well as independently.- Travel will be required.- Valid Driver’s License a plus.

Pay Transparency:
For the Archaeologist position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $112,652.80- $133,619.20, $54.16/hr - $64.24/hr, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/Flexforce employees are NOT bonus eligible).

- Benefits Eligibility is limited to Regular employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.
