**General Information**:
Imagine yourself as an active part of the sustainable energy transition; an integral member of the Canadian Communications and Marketing Team using your expertise across brand, employee engagement, contents, events, social media, and media relations to provide hands-on support for all communications and marketing activities, both internal and external. We need you to help us write our next chapter together as **Marketing Communications Specialist**, for **Hitachi Energy Canada.**

Our Canadian business is growing at a fast pace and together with our colleagues from the communications team in North America you will support our marketing and communications activities in Canada to ensure our successful and sustainable growth. You'll need your organizational skills, ingenuity and versatility daily to develop trusting relationships with our internal clients and external audiences, uncover promising new perspectives to promote the Hitachi Energy brand, create captivating content for our internal and social media, or work with team members on various events and other projects.

We provide a great framework for your success, having a strong communications community and strategy, a regional network, a clear corporate identity, and strong brand positioning. You will help to operationalize it within the Canadian market, reporting directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, Canada.

**Responsibilities:
**You are a member of the Communications and Marketing team for Canada and a point of contact for all communications and marketing related activities across the country.- You will identify the needs of local internal and external stakeholders; define and lead internal communications in alignment with Global and North American business and communication priorities.-
- Create engaging written and visual messaging to motivate and inspire employees.-
- Write newsletters, articles, posts and announcements for various communications channels.-
- Plan and organize country townhalls with senior management and the business divisions.-
- You will coordinate and deliver communication deliverables from end to end.-
- You will measure the success of your communications activities, using a range of tools and KPIs to ensure outcomes and activities are measured against agreed objectives.You will be involved in key events, such as industry conferences, tradeshows, and employee conferences, in close collaboration with colleagues from sales and account management.-
- You will have a keen interest in media relations, working together with the Head of Communications and Marketing Canada to ensure targeted local media coverage across Canada.**Qualifications**:
- Passion for words (storytelling) and a good eye for graphics-
- Curiosity for innovation and technology-
- A creative, dynamic and versatile mindset-
- Thirst for learning, excelling and trying new ways of doing things-
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or another related field-
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with 2 years relevant experience in internal and/or organizational communications-
- Proven history of cross functional communication skills (media, contents, internal, storytelling, etc.)-
- Proven understanding of digital communications channels and the power of social media-
- Exceptional writing/editing skills (writing samples will be requested)-
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written-
- Experience in working in a global, complex, organization is a plus-
- Strong ability to work with ambiguity and constantly changing set of circumstances and issues-
