**Community Living Dufferin is looking for a hands-on, motivated individual to join our team as Human Resources Coordinator for a one-year contract**

**ABOUT THE POSITION**:
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Supervisor, the Human Resources Coordinator helps to support activities in the department and achieve departmental objectives. This position is responsible for internal and external recruitment, on-boarding, health and safety, benefits administration, training processes and maintaining records and information.

Some of the key responsibilities include and are not limited to:
1. **Recruitment & Onboarding**:

- Manages the recruitment cycle, from screening to final selection, and prepares employment offers and contracts, including background and reference checks.
- Prepares job postings and reviews resumes based on criteria for each position.
- Creates internal job postings for vacant positions and offers positions as per posting guidelines.
- Creates marketing materials on recruitment initiatives such as promotional materials, and social media campaigns.
- Researches opportunities for advertising jobs.
- Coordinates and manages the onboarding process for new hires, including employment paperwork and internal communication.
- Serves as the point of contact for new hires, schedules check-ins to provide support during onboarding.

2. **Training & Development**:

- Organises and executes mandatory trainings for compliance, including scheduling, communicating, and tracking training sessions and materials.
- Coordinates with external training agencies regarding latest training materials, scheduling trainees and books appropriate training locations.
- Ensures training invoices are appropriately coded and routed to finance department.

3. **Benefits and Compensation Management**:

- Administers the organization's benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and termination of benefits.
- Performs benefits related tasks, such as tracking payroll-directed benefits, and notifying payroll of any changes in the premiums for union and non-union employees.

**4.** **Health & Safety**:

- Records and posts meeting minutes for Health and Safety committee meetings.
- Updates the committee of any injury reports, WSIB claims and injury analysis.
- Acts as a point of contact and submits all required information for processing WSIB claims.

**5. Employee Relations and Engagement**:

- Assists with the development and implementation of strategies to promote a positive organizational culture.
- Assists in creating disciplinary discussion documentation and carries out process as per policy.
- Coordinates and collects employee feedback and compiles data to prepare reports and summaries.
- Updates policies and procedures as needed.
- Maintains employees’ personnel files including archiving of old files.
- Assists in other Human Resources areas and performs additional duties as required.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Human Resources Management certification/diploma/degree required.
- Good understanding of Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code and Health and Safety Regulations.
- 1 year of experience in Human Resource Management is an asset.
- Proficiency in computer programs, Microsoft Office Suite, internet browsers etc.
- Strong communication, both verbally and in written form.
- Highly respectful with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Flexibility to work days, afternoons and weekends if necessary.
- Must have a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
