The Haroon Lab at the Schroder Arthritis Institute, Division of Rheumatology, University Health Network and University of Toronto, is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDF) with a PhD in Immunology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field.

UHN is ranked in the top 5 hospitals in the world and is the largest research hospital in Canada. The Haroon Lab is part of the multidisciplinary Schroeder Arthritis Institute and the Spondylitis Program at UHN. The spondylitis program at UHN is one of the largest research programs in this field with a large prospective patient database, prospectively followed cohorts and sequentially bio banked samples. The Krembil Research Institute is a state-of-the-art facility with a fully equipped animal facility, advanced microscopy, single cell sequencing, metabolomics, bioinformatics and medicinal chemistry for novel drug discovery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and conduct of translational studies in human specimens and pre-clinical models.
- Teaching and training students in the lab
- Attending meetings and seminars

**Qualifications**
- Significant experience and expertise in vitro and in vivo studies
- Expert in multi color flowcytometry, rtPCR, Western Blot. Experience with Cell Sorting is an advantage
- Experience working with animal models including genotyping, injections, surgeries, tissue harvesting, and transgenic models. Experience with the CRISPR technique is an advantage
- Must be an effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Solid documentation and organizational skills
- Track record of success shown through publications, patents, and presentations
