**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with microbiologist(s) and the principal investigator (PI) to develop pipelines for genomic analysis of _Mycobacterium tuberculosis_, specifically pipelines for Antimicrobial resistance detection and prediction as well as outbreak analysis
- Participate in regular meetings with the research team to share progress and insights, discuss findings, and refine the research objectives and methodologies
- Data Management: Organize and maintain a comprehensive sequence database with associated metadata
- Analyze and synthesize research findings from various sources to identify key trends, data types, emerging technologies, and gaps in the existing literature
- Deadline Adherence: Meet project deadlines and milestones in a timely manner while maintaining the quality and accuracy of the work
- Experience with python, SQL, a workflow language (snakemake or nextflow), and/or unix environment is preferred

**Qualifications**:

- PhD degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, microbiology, pathology, public health, computer science, or a related discipline).
- Possibility of renewal contingent upon funding.
