**The Opportunity**:
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:
Leave Administration

Liaison to field HR & Managers for all leave requests (legislative, non-legislative and medical leaves)

Inform and support employee inquiries related to leaves and benefit impacts.

Provide and complete employer medical statements to carrier adjudication.

Liaison with disability carrier on medical leave eligibility and status updates on behalf of HR.

Maintain and update leave types and employee benefit files in HRIS system.

Work with regional HR to determine return to work and engage in the interactive process, if necessary.

Administer and review coordination of earnings to ensure accuracy of employee payment to reduce negative financial impact to employee or employer.

Benefits Administration

Resolves employee inquiries with adherence to benefit policies and procedures.

Administer the continuation of benefits and collection of benefit premiums for employees on leave in accordance with group benefits policy.

Administer the withdrawal and follow-up of benefit premiums for employees and premium repayment impacts upon return to work with proper reimbursement procedures.

Support annual benefits enrolment in relation to employees on leave.

Identifies reporting requirements to effectively audit, report financials and plan details to make informed decisions.

Support year end reporting for employees on leave.

Produce monthly benefit self-billing and review of carrier invoices.

Review and update employee benefit annual rates annually and mid-year.

Issue retirement contributions related to employees on leave.

Create process documentations as required.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Completion of a post-secondary HR diploma or degree program preferred.

2+ years of leave or benefits experience

Solid understanding of legislative leaves and benefit plans

Previous experience with Workday preferred

Strong organizational skills to work efficiently and meet deadlines.

Proven ability to communicate and coordinate with team and external stakeholders in a positive manner to build strong relationships.

Keen sense of confidentiality for sensitive information

Excellent analytical and Excel skills to assess data and report findings.

Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

**Location**: This is a hybrid position that can be located out of HUB's Oakville office or downtown Toronto office.
