**Overview**

EDC’s Special Risks - Insurance & Trade Guarantees team delivers innovative debt management solutions to EDC’s Credit Insurance and International Trade Guarantee customers. The team is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Assistant Debt Services Manager (ADSM) who will actively participate in the achievement of the team's objectives by ensuring quality service to customers.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepares expense authorization requests for payment of invoices to EDC’s service providers ensuring accuracy and completes payment requests.
- Allocates funds recovered from debtors and collection agencies by reviewing the information, identifying, and independently resolving funds allocation scenarios.
- Preparing and following-up on remittance invoices (funds owed to EDC from our customers).
- Trouble shooting for claim and expense payments and account balances, which can include collaboration with Account Payable and Insurance Receivables Services teams for processing and reporting.
- Resolves accounting discrepancies, based on an understanding of EDC’s claims, recoveries, accounting and policy issues which may require advanced negotiation skills.
- Manage SR-I&TG portal for communications from Customers and Partners. Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service providing timely response to customers and partners inquiries.
- Reporting function - providing data for the surveys to customers, Huddle Boards for the team and expenses, recoveries.
- Entering of claims for claims outside the Credit Insurance program. Assisting the team to manage reports, and managing system logs and by allocating files to officers as per team processes.
- Updating and maintenance of SR-I&TG’s process and procedures as they relate to the ASDM role.
- Option to manage a portfolio of small claims, overdue accounts and recoveries by responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

**Screening Criteria**
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years of varied administrative and customer service experience (including office, researching and information management)
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience,
- Strong computer and data management skills (MS Office, PeopleSoft, SharePoint Online, Reporting)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both official languages (English & French)

**Compensation Details**:

- Finance Operations 14: Salaries typically range from $55,657 to $74, 210 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive

- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role will be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa.
