**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Waste Program, the Labourer II - Transfer Station provides support for the City’s solid waste operations. As a supporting member of the crew, working under mínimal supervision, the Labourer II is responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks such as the maintenance of the City’s solid waste cart inventory, Transfer Station site, operation of small equipment, and interacting with the public. The Labourer II must be able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and organize waste cart inventory, including assembly, delivery and repair
- Maintenance and organization for Transfer Station
- Assist with other solid waste programs including Christmas tree collection
- Provide information on recycling and waste disposal to the public

**Qualifications**:
This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement. A current Driver’s Abstract will be required at the time of interview.

Hours of Work: 80 hours biweekly
(both weekday/weekend work will be required)
