Location: This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work in any of the listed locations at the discretion of the hiring manager. Work is often performed away from established headquarters and requires regular travel, including extended overnight stays.

Pay Range: $59,976 - $75,684

The Driver Education Assessment Coordinator assesses, audits, and evaluates certified Class 5 driver educators and driver training schools throughout Saskatchewan. This position monitors the performance of certified driver educators and audits the certified driving schools. Majority of the work is performed away from established headquarters and requires regular travel, including extended overnight stays.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Note: This section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities - other duties and responsibilities may be assigned._- Assesses, audits, and evaluates the performance of certified driver educators and driving schools.- Provides expertise and guidance to driver educators and driving schools within the province.- Investigates and handles customer complaints and carries out disciplinary actions or terminations of certified educators or schools, if necessary.- Ensures proper and consistent training is delivered to customers by Saskatchewan driver educators. If weaknesses in training are found, makes recommendations to improve course content and delivery methods.- Ensures educators maintain proper records and makes recommendations to modify actions to adhere to regulations.- Liaises with certified educators and schools to inform them of any policy or procedural changes and responds to inquiries.- Prepares detailed status reports identifying problems or areas that require attention and delivers feedback, education, and training where required.- Assists on projects as required.- Prepares and presents information and training seminars for both internal and external customers.- Recommends changes to the driver training standards and policy manuals.- Conducts evaluations on Class 5 driver educators’ in-class and in-car performance.- Provides training to driver educators and driving schools within the province. This course is 5 weeks in duration and is held 2 times per year in Saskatoon and Regina to external customers.- Responds to inquiries related to the driver training regulations and
- _The Traffic Safety Act_ from internal and external customers.- Participates in the review and reconciliation of high school Driver Education/SGI funding Agreements.

High Performance Team & Culture- Supports a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively meet the key accountabilities within the scope of the role.- Displays leadership by committing to a culture of continuous learning/development of self and supports others by actively sharing knowledge, providing guidance, mentoring, training, and supporting developmental opportunities.- Demonstrates that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility for self and others.TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS- Two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Business, or defined equivalency.- Certified Driver Examiner Designation from AAMVA (American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators).- Certified Class 5 Driver Instructor.- Class 4 driver’s licence or higher.- Satisfactory driver’s abstract.- Certification in adult education.

EXPERIENCE

3 - 5 years’ experience in:
- Class 5 drivers' education, both high school and commercial training.- Delivering driver education to high school and adult learners.
