Pelican International is looking for an Assistant-Operator to join its extrusion team. We need you to ensure the satisfaction of our many customers. Kayaking has never been as popular as it is today

A TYPICAL DAY AS AN ASSISTANT EXTRUSION OPERATOR IS:

- Ensuring the feeding of pellets to the machine, pelletizing the plastic scrap and stacking the sheets on the pallet and packing the completed pallets and identifying them;
- Carry out the machine tour (data reading, verification and recording) and identify non-conformities in the dimensional measurements of a sheet;
- Performs calender adjustment and adjusts sheet width 'sliding deckle'

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
You have a minimum of 6 months experience in the field combined with a DEP or DEC in plastics, mechanics or production equipment operation. You have basic knowledge in mechanics and extrusion. You have a good understanding of the computer system and are able to register products in the system. You have a good understanding of how to use tools that require strong manual skills. Your positive energy will help you to be recognized as a team player who can be counted on by your colleagues. You have a good sense of humour and a good sense of humour. You are sensitive to risk and contribute to our goal of zero accidents. You are in control when working under pressure.
