We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic Marketplace \ Analyst with proven experience analyzing large data sets to inform, surface, recommend and guide critical business decisions. This role, reporting into the Manager, Marketplace Analytics & Insights, is responsible for addressing the ongoing analytic needs of the department.

Our Marketplace Operations team supports the rewards component of the business. We have great brand positioning in the market with the opportunity to grow our global Marketplace catalogue and drive continued adoption across customers current and future. This role will support robust analytical reporting, methodologies and insights on order and product redemption behaviours/trends, incorporating eCommerce analytical strategies and forecasting to drive continued growth. Ongoing deliverables may include monthly reporting packages, leadership reports, informative dashboards, and bespoke analysis for key product supplier and/or brand accounts.

**Responsibilities**:
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Data Analysis: Perform data cleaning, manipulation, and visualization; extract insights from large datasets.
- Reports & Presentations: Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate analytical findings.
- Derive Recommendations: Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
- Analytical Models: Assist in the development/maintenance of models to track Marketplace performance.
- Ad-Hoc Analytics: Execute ad-hoc analytic needs; i.e., product campaign efficacy, etc.
- Forecasting Excellence: Create/maintain forecasting models to track Marketplace potential vs. performance across key revenue pillars (i.e. promotions, merchandising, etc.).
- User Insight: Leverage customer/vendor insights in models/reports to provide a view of Marketplace activity.
- Benchmarking: Conduct benchmarking analyses to compare Marketplace performance against industry standards or competitors, identifying areas for improvement and competitive differentiation.

Operational Support
- Operational Integrity: Adhere to data management practices, quality control flows, and governance procedures.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Project Management: Manage ongoing/competing reports/analytics requests effectively; ensure timely delivery.
- Project Support: Participate in projects related to data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain comprehensive documentation of analytical processes, methodologies, best practices, lessons learned, and findings to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing.
- Training: Provide training/support to stakeholders to ensure successful comprehension/utilization of analyses.

Collaboration & Communication
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Work collaboratively with teams to gather data requirements and align on objectives.
- Communicate Insights: Effectively communicate analysis progress, findings, and insights to stakeholders.
- Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance/actionable insights to inform decisions and drive results.
- Effective Communication: Articulate findings to leadership/stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Partnership Development: Partner on the assessment and value-add of new potential reward partners.
- Quality Assurance: Work with data engineers or BI team to address data quality issues; maintain data accuracy.
- Market Awareness: Collaborate with market research teams to leverage expertise and incorporate into findings.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field i.e. Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related.
- 2+ years of proven experience in strategic analytics within the e-commerce, retail, or technology sectors.
- Familiarity with basic data analysis techniques, statistical concepts, and data visualization tools.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and extract meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
- Independent self-starter with a sense of urgency, proven results and solution-oriented.
- Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense.
- Excellent verbal/written skills to articulate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to create compelling and visually appealing reports and presentations.
- Experience managing analytics requests from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of insights.
- Adaptability to learn and grow in a fast-paced, evolving data landscape.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
- Experience with Salesforce dashboard creation an asset.
