**Team & Job Overview**

The Global Business Development (GBD) Group is a geographically dispersed team that manages EDC’s largest international relationships. The team plays a critical role in connecting Canadian customers to large international buyers to facilitate trade.

The GBD group has embarked upon an aggressive international strategy implementation that includes EDC’s expansion of our international market presence. In order to achieve our ambitious targets, we require a strong and dedicated team.

The Advisor will report to the Manager, GBD Strategy & Operations. The primary focus of this role is to support EDC’s international foreign representations from an operational perspective. This involves a strong emphasis on relationship management (external and internal stakeholders), project management and program development.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide day to day operational support to all GBD foreign offices and staff (Canadian Based and Locally Engaged)
- In collaboration with a third-party relocation service provider, lead and project manage international deployments and repatriations
- Solve problems that arise with operations and staffing including by liaising with the Mission Consular Officer (MCO) in each representation and working with EDC teams that support international operations (ECC, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, Security, IT, Legal, Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement and Facilities)
- Strengthen and cultivate business relationships with various Canadian and international teams within Global Affairs Canada (GAC)
- Verify and process GAC invoices concerning our international offices in conjunction with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Assess policy and procedural changes relating to the Interdepartmental Memorandum of Understanding
- Represent EDC at various external meetings
- the Interdepartmental Working Group Committee (monthly), Co-Locator Committee (bi-annual), Co-Locator Conference (annually)
- Advise, support and provide recommendations to EDC senior leadership regarding our operational relationship with GAC and our international footprint.

**Screening Criteria**
- Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration or in a related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales operations, human resources, or related experience
- Strong relationship management, networking and communication skills
- Talent for negotiation and mediation (one on one and in a group situation)
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize conflicting responsibilities

- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)

**Salary Range**
- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $79,424 to $105,899, plus performance-based incentive
