We are revolutionizing our Advancement Services team at UM and are looking for a new Prospect Records Maintenance Assistant member of our dynamic and dedicated team. Attention to detail, integrity, ability to multi-task, a passion for customer service and a high standard of excellence are the qualities you will bring to the table. You will review and update records using various sources and research methods and will be responsible for maintaining data within the alumni database.

We will provide a community-focused work environment, training and the ability to grow.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline from a recognized institution required.
- Two years of directly related experience required.
- Minimum one year experience in prospect research would be an asset.
- Demonstrated experience with database and maintenance is preferred.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Advanced knowledge of Raiser's Edge software is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required.
- Ability to perform in-house data review preferred.
- Proficient with multi-relational database software's and Microsoft Office programs is preferred.
- Meticulous, detailed and accuracy in producing all written materials is required.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
- Must enjoy working in a team environment.
- Must have the ability to work with and understand a large database.
- Familiarity with donor types: individual, estate, corporate, foundation, and government is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and take independent action preferred.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, use one's initiative and make some decisions.
- Being tactful with members of the community or public.
- Understanding of the mission, history and programs, of the University of Manitoba is preferred.
- Understanding of central issues in the field of philanthropy and the motivations behind charitable

giving is preferred.
- Experience with capital or comprehensive campaigns is preferred.
