MH Intelligence (Canada) LTD is a new research and consultancy company in the Canadian market. The company and its employees will be working closely with the UK parent company - MH Intelligence (UK) LTD T/A MineHutte. Since it was founded in 2014, MineHutte has established itself as a specialised research and consultancy company which provides legal and policy risk analysis and other specialist services to stakeholders in the global natural resources sector.

MineHutte aims to have meaningful impact through our work, and we strive to provide our clients with practical solutions and insights to help them navigate a range of challenges and issues in the mining sector. We value independent thinking and look to develop our team’s knowledge and understanding of mineral governance in the mining sector to ensure they are well equipped to effectively assist our clients. As a small company we believe that the quality of our work is critical to our ability to gain and retain clients. We take pride in producing work which is of practical value and high quality, and which helps our clients make informed and effective decisions.

**The Role**:

- Provide analysis and risk insight on mining and environmental laws and policies;
- Conduct research on various topics relating to mineral governance;
- Produce reports and other briefing documents with a focus on mineral governance issues;
- Produce online content and commentary on mining laws and policies;
- Represent the company at industry events; and
- Assist the company with other areas of the business where necessary.

**Your Profile**:

- LLB / JD or Bachelors in related discipline;
- At least a year of experience in a research, consultancy or legal / policy advisory role (or similar);
- Knowledge and understanding of the mining sector and a demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in mineral governance;
- Excellent writing, communication and analytical / research skills;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks according to deadlines;
- Willingness to initiate and develop strong relationships with clients and collaborators and engage with industry stakeholders;
- Independent worker with the ability to produce high quality content with mínimal supervision;
- Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work effectively,

**Desired Skills, Education & Experience**:

- Undergraduate degree in Law, International Development, Political Science or similar field;
- Experience with minerals laws and policies or general experience in the resource governance space;
- Previous consultancy and research experience (ideally in the natural resources space);
- Experience working in multi-project environments;
- Fluency in another language (particularly French or Spanish).
