The work location is at
- **Nunavik** and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

**Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Supervisor, the assistant blaster will be required to actively assist the blaster during mine loading operations. Additionally, they will need to operate various heavy equipment used within the mining department, following the supervisor's instructions. The main responsibilities of this position include:

- Execute all assigned explosive loading tasks as directed by the lead blaster, in compliance with current standards and regulations;
- Assist the blaster in supervising employees working on loading platforms;
- Maintain inventory tracking of explosive and non-explosive products on loading platforms;
- Perform equipment inspections before and after each shift.;
- If required, assume the responsibilities of the blaster;
- As needed, perform any other tasks requested by the supervisor.

**Qualifications**
- Have the skill to operate a CAT AD30 mining truck, a CAT 420F backhoe, and a Jeep Land Cruiser boom truck;
- Possess a General Explosives Permit;
- Have obtained a high school diploma;
- Familiarity with electronic initiation systems is an asset;
- Possess mining modules FMTM 1 to 5 and 7;
- Have 0 to 2 years of experience;
- Proficiency in bilingualism (functional French and English) is an asset.
