
Inventory Control Coordinator

Yurek Specialties Limited is a state-of-the-art processing facility in London, ON, which features the latest equipment to support the processing, production, and delivery of medical supplies and infusion equipment, along with related supplies, to the Elgin, Norfolk, Oxford, London-Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Grey, Bruce and Grand River counties.
**Job Purpose**:
Under the direction of the Purchasing and Customer Contracts Manager, the Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for inventory control for all stocked items both on the shop floor and in the main warehouse.
These activities include inventory cycle counts, solving inventory discrepancies, and assisting with/ organizing physical inventories. The Inventory Control Coordinator will have a high degree of communication and coordination with customers, primary contract holder(s), Material Service Providers (MSP), other employees and departments throughout the Company.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Inventory Management:
- Full accountability of inventory including investigation and reconciliation of all inventory discrepancies.
- Ensures that inventory counts in ERP system are accurate. Makes adjustments in ERP system as necessary after investigations.
- Develop a daily/weekly/monthly Cycle Count inventory processes to ensure the accuracy of inventory.
- Establish and maintain dedicated areas with proper conditions for all inventory and goods to be stored.
- Regularly review and remove obsolete items as required.
- Maintain proper labelling and use of barcodes for all stock items.
- Ensure all inventory items are traceable through an established tracking system, and stocking levels are established, reviewed, and revised as necessary for all items in inventory.
Analysis:
- Analyze the usage of products and make recommendations on storage requirements and product flow.
- Prepare analyses relevant to the implementation of cost reduction, operational improvement and other special projects initiatives as needed.
- Create detailed reports and data visualizations, to present actionable findings to key stakeholders, to aid in understanding financial performance and recommending improvements.
- Establish key metrics and KPI’s critical to driving the business’ goals including but not limited to better product availability and improved inventory turnover. Relationship Management
- Collaborate and work directly with cross-functional teams to drive results, including Quality, Pick and Pack, Finance and Logistics/Warehousing.
- Effectively communicate with government agencies and other customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with Material Service Providers to ensure accuracy in quantities shipped and documentation.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by Manager.
**Qualifications**:
- 5-7 years of progressive inventory management experience in a high-volume setting inventory counts including cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and reconciliations.
- Experience in optimizing process flow for improved material management.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent attendance record with ability to work flexible hours and ability to meet overtime requirements.
- Superior time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities with mínimal supervision.
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED, College degree in Supply Chain or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of safe work and safety leadership
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
**Working Conditions**:
Standard working hours are 40 hours per week. 8 hours per day from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Some flexibility is required to support outside core hours on an occasional basis. The Inventory Control Coordinator is based out of the Yurek Specialties Limited location in London but may need to travel periodically to other Yurek sites in St. Thomas and London, as required.
**Physical Requirements**:
The Inventory Control Coordinator spends part of their shift seated at a desk using the computer and part of their shift on their feet: stand/walk for full shift as well as lift, push, pull, carry, or otherwise move objects of varying weights regularly. Occasionally will be required to lift up to 50 lbs., unassisted, and bend, twist, and reach to move supplies or other items.
