Production Supervisor

Shift: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm - Monday to Friday - 40 hours / week

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Production and Departmental Duties**
- Conduct inventory count of products to ensure all required parts are accounted for to complete the daily manufacturing of utility trailers
- Delegate and assign duties to employees and manage their production rate
- Assist employees when required such as machine operation, cutting steel or aluminum, blueprint reading, product retrieval, and other related tasks
- Monitor quality assurance of utility trailers and red tag any product that needs modification or that cannot be fixed
- Produce daily production reports on respective department(s) and forward the document to the Production Manager
- Complete other tasks as required
**Leadership Duties**
- Motivate and encourage employees when their performance has met or exceeded expectation
- Able to train and coach new and current employees
- Responsible to manage a team of up to 20 employees
- Facilitate daily morning meeting with team to discuss important information such as health and safety and daily quotas
- Collaborate with production manager, supervisors, team members, and other respective parties to ensure production process runs smoothly and efficiently
**Health and Safety Duties**
- Supports health and safety investigations when required including WSIB documentation, incident reports, etc.
- Adhere to all protocols and procedures to set an example for all employees
**Requirements**:
- High school Diploma required
- 1+ years of supervisory experience required
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Welding experience required
**Working Conditions**
- Sitting / crouching / standing / kneeling for long periods of time
- Lifting / bending / twisting / pushing / and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent exposure to extreme hot / cold weather conditions
- Required to wear personal protective equipment such as steel toed boots, safety glasses, and other work-related attire
