**ROLE OBJECTIVE**:
The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices, both at the department and Business and Functional areas level, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:

- Facilitate the flow of data into and out of the company by automating processes and working with other EA teams
- Manage the data and accounts on the SFTP server including creation, data management and external client support
- Receive, log, and disseminate incoming data to the appropriate people and locations on EA’s network in compliance with existing policies.
- Assist with policies, procedures and standards for information management throughout its lifecycle
- Assist in the design, development and maintenance of the central data and metadata store
- Ensure that treatment of data follows any contract obligations that are over and above our internal guidelines
- Maintain the corporate file transfer points to ensure that all data transfers between EA and clients are encrypted and tracked.
- Continuously improve and automate data management workflows
- Recommend deployment of tools to monitor and control data quality
- Facilitate and resolve data issues and conflicts across stakeholder groups
- Design and recommend data quality issue remediation and escalation processes
- Provide data management and governance guidance and best practices in new, changing and complex technology environments: on premise and in the cloud
- Explore innovative tools and technology, evaluate new systems and keep up to speed with the industry
- Monitor and maintain the reporting environment, including data sources, security and metadata
- Develop automated processes for data classification and ETL.
- Develop and implement automated processes that deliver data products.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- **Education** - Must have a BA/BSc in computer science, mathematics, geography or equivalent
- **Technical Skills & Experience**:

- Must have 2+ years of experience and knowledge of the following:

- Windows 2016/2019 Server, Windows desktops, TCP/IP
- Database (SQL Server/Snowflake), SQL Programming, Database Design, Data Mining, Data Security, ETL
- A general understanding of data classification and industry standards such as NIST, COBIT, ISO and audit protocols such as SOC2 and ISO27001.
- Nice to have: EFT Enterprise, C#, Python, Azure experience
- **Analytical Skills** - Effectively researches and synthesizes complex or diverse information; uses intuition and experience to complement data and designs work flows and procedures.
- **Judgment** - Displays willingness to make timely decisions, including appropriate people in the decision-making process and exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions.
