Ontario Health is seeking a Business Analyst, Data Governance to undertake work contributing to the establishment of enterprise data management starting with source of truth metadata management for all Ontario Health data assets. This work will be done in line with the Data program’s evolving Data Governance roadmap ensuring consistent and formalized management of data across the enterprise.

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of Ontario Health’s data management and governance frameworks. The frameworks will require implementation of multiple initiatives, and this position will be responsible for the coordinated approach to ensuring that policies and processes are developed, communicated, adhered to, and monitored in a consistent manner. The person will act as a communications and implementation analyst with respect to Data Governance policies and processes and will primarily support Data Governance function, and other programs as needed.

The Business Analyst is responsible for working with customers to understand business needs and translating these needs into documented functional and non-functional requirements for implementation in Ontario Health Digital Excellence in Health products. The Business Analyst develops solution prototypes and mock-ups for review with customers and internal teams, supports the overall systems development lifecycle, and validates successful implementation of requirements in solutions produced.

Here is what you will be doing:
- Support the development and implementation of Data Governance roadmap including program planning and milestones,- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Data Management, Knowledge Management, or Content Management practices, process and roles guides based on framework principles.- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of enabling platforms, controls and services to support data governance frameworks (e.g. Metadata management, access controls, knowledge management).- Performs business and client requirement analysis to support business initiatives’ data governance efforts including metadata management of OH data assets.- Assist in the development and maintenance of Ontario Health data governance policies and processes.- Contribute to the on-going implementation of the enterprise data management and governance frameworks.- Support/perform any data governance team operational activities.- Participates in audit and monitoring activities (e.g. report # of new data assets, compliance of maintenance of metadata catalogue, data access etc.).- Develops processes and tools to support stakeholders’ implementation of Ontario Health's Identity and Authorization services.- Performs business and client requirement analysis in support of Identity and Authorization service development, operational and deployment projects.- Continuously seeks and identifies opportunities for the improvement of data governance deployment, operational and registration processes, and procedures.- Solves business problems and provides guidance to clients and adoption teams.- Supports knowledge sharing with clients, stakeholders, and users in the broader health care sector on data governance policies, key concepts and processes.- Performs analysis in support of program and stakeholder objectives.- Adjudicates and processes requests from internal/external clients, stakeholders, and users.- Prepares/maintains relevant documentation, user guides, process maps, operations documents, and training manuals.- Provides business and technical content in the assembly of test plans.- Facilitates and supports business and clinical participation in the execution of test plans.- Collaborates with the team to ensure a consistent approach to executing work assignments.- Collaborates with other cross-functional
