Overview:
Under general supervision, the Salvage Inventory Clerk is responsible for accurately entering inventory into the Salvage Management System (SMS) and ensuring that salvage disposal notifications comply with salvage and claims procedures. The Salvage Inventory Clerk performs clerical duties of a semi-technical nature, in accordance with established policies, procedures and departmental policy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Controls and maintains active inventory on a daily basis of both Winnipeg and rurally located salvageable units.
- Adheres to cyclical deadlines for documenting and processing inventory sales, auctions and tenders including, but not limited to:

- Winnipeg inventory for the in-person Physical Damage Centre (PDC) auction
- Rurally located inventory for rural tender distribution
- Retrieves keys
- Receives payments
- Provides assistance to the cash duty station when time permits
- Processes receipts for account buyers
- Responds to customer service enquiries regarding outstanding balances and potential suspensions

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years office experience including one year in a total loss or Physical Damage Claims Operations environment.
