**Responsibilities**:
- Plan project tasks, organize the master schedule, proceed with the work estimates, contract awards, control costs, and manage and supervise the project team.
- Ensure good relations with the community, client, vendors, and consultants.
- Coordinate work in collaboration with the project team.
- Establish work procedures in collaboration with the site manager and the superintendent.
- Manage procurement and negotiate and approve the selection of major contractors in collaboration with the upper management.
- Organize and conduct construction site meetings as required.
- Participate in meetings with the client, create task lists and delegate accordingly.
- Organize internal meetings to effectively communicate relevant information, and coordinate resources, including subcontractors.
- Perform administrative follow-ups —costs, productivity, contingencies, contracts, etc.
- Perform technical follow-ups —technical data sheets, inspections, etc.
- Follow up on notices of change—estimation, bid to client, negotiation, issuance of orders and/or of contract.
- Follow up on payments with accounts payable department and accounts receivable department.
- Authorize payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate inspections of the work in collaboration with the superintendent.
- Deliver the project in collaboration with the superintendent and obtain client’s final acceptance.
- Report performance indicators to upper management.
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years in a Construction Project Management role with a general contractor.
- Diploma in Construction Management from BCIT or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills (verbal/written).
- Strong initiative, planning, and execution skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and construction law.
- Strong diplomatic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, teamwork and team building skills.
- Experience leading and mentoring project team.
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining long term client, consultant, supplier, and sub-contractor relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure to deliver high-quality work.
