To continue our growth and success, the Stevens Group requires the services of an experienced Maintenance Worker. Reporting to the Building Systems Manager and working primarily at **Magnolia Continuing Care, located in Enfield, NS**, the position will have responsibility for ensuring that the Group's various buildings and properties are well maintained and in good condition

**Responsibilities**

The specific duties of the position will include:

- Performing day-to-day maintenance of building and property.
- Performing repairs, renovations, and upgrades in the areas of carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring and minor plumbing and electrical tasks.
- Identifying maintenance requirements and communicating these to the Manager.
- Assisting in the preparation of preventative maintenance plans.
- Trouble-shooting and problem-solving maintenance issues.
- Keeping properties and grounds neat and tidy.
- Supporting the maintenance teams within other companies in the Group.
- Operating motor vehicles, motorized equipment and power tools.
- Must participate in after hours on-call rotation.
- Other tasks as directed.

**Qualifications**
- Previous work experience in a similar position related to building maintenance.
- Mechanically inclined, with knowledge of building construction and repair.
- Knowledge of building systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with a variety of people.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be available for scheduled on call rotation.
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Comfortable working in a long-term care environment.
