Position Overview:
Pricing data, strategy and revenue analytics are increasingly impacting traditional businesses, and the heavy equipment business is no exception. Through system and quoting controls, improved administration, revenue analytics and strategic optimization, Finning is working to identify market willingness to pay and dynamic optimization opportunities.

This position is responsible for conducting pricing analytics, developing and implementing pricing strategies, and administering pricing changes based on analysis that will profitably grow the Finning business while enhancing customer loyalty.

**Job Description**:
Major Job Functions:

- Lead differentiating regional pricing project work_
- Identification of gaps in pricing systems, tools, and processes to develop solutions for improvement
- Analyze pricing discount and uplift strategies_
- Provide recommendations to management with evidence-based support
- Utilize existing business tools to visualize and communicate recommendations
- Propose changes to the pricing strategies with a plan of how to execute.
- Provide analysis to support development of regional and corporate equipment marketing programs_
- Evaluate program effectiveness after completion
- Dive into where improvements can be made and provide recommendations to management
- Review competitive intelligence, lost sales data, and customer / sales rep feedback_
- Recommend targeted pricing adjustments to reflect what is happening in the market
- Provide analysis and coordination on inventory movement across equipment streams
- Ensure all pricing structures and loyalty programs are evaluated and updated according to proper structures and schedules_
- Work with business contacts to evaluate market and customer behavior on how pricing can drive loyalty
- Give Sales Managers and Product Managers visibility to detailed revenue and pricing information via consistent reporting

Accountability:

- Responsible for the analysis and development of regional corporate pricing strategies
- Provide timely and accurate in-depth analysis for regional equipment sales teams, Sales Managers, Branch Managers, and Pricing Leadership.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
- Provide recommendations on the development of corporate pricing strategies

Qualifications for the role:

- Bachelors’ degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Masters level (MBA) considered an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in an analytical role with progressing levels of responsibility, with 2+ years in a Pricing, Economics, or Marketing analyst role
- Completion of pricing specific training / professional development
- Well versed in SQL and data analysis tools and techniques.

- Highly developed organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and attentive to detail
- Ability to take initiative and work under pressure with mínimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative and decisiveness
