**Description**:
Over the last two decades, translation in health sciences, medicine and healthcare has come to have many meanings and flavours between researchers, institutions, domains of practice and even geographic regions. This class is intended to provide students with insights into the different understandings and approaches to translation, an overview of the translational (innovation) landscape, the skills and competencies involved in translating knowledge towards impact, and the challenges and opportunities associated with these activities. The course is designed to integrate several key learning strategies. A “flipped classroom” approach to seminar-style topic discussions.

**Class schedule**: 2-hour seminar-style workshops; occurring Tuesdays or Thursdays between 12pm - 7pm

Sessional Lecturer III - $10,362.76
Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term - $10,570.02

**Minimum qualifications**: PhD with equivalent professional and/or academic experience is preferred.

**Description of duties**: Preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars; creation of courseware; the development and administration of assignments, tests and examinations; marking and grading of student work and the submission of grades to appropriate University officials, maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours.
