Reporting to the Manager - Maintenance Planning & Scheduling the Master Data Planner is critical in maintaining the reliability of the refinery’s SAP Master Data. This safety conscious individual will work with limited supervision to develop, implement, and evaluate assigned work and provides guidance to more junior staff.

Minimum Requirements:

- 5+ years of planning experience/scheduling; maintenance and/or reliability experience in Oil and Gas industry
- Trade certificate or diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical and operational experience (Electrical or Instrumentation preferred)
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP) and material management systems
- Deep understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts as well as maintenance practices, performances measures, scheduling tools and techniques

Key Accountabilities:

- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for ongoing master data activities
- Create and update equipment bill of materials (BOM) in SAP
- Maximize and improve resource productivity by identifying and coordinating coaching of various groups on how to create high quality master data
- Identify environmental, health and safety requirements
- Maintain and continuously improve job plans and task lists by coaching maintenance planners on how to update master data
- Receive input to update and maintain master data, at all levels.
- Ensure data is being gathered in a correct format that supports high quality planning and benchmarking.
- Make decisions and recommendations within authorized limits prescribed by supervisor or policy
- Must be able to identify adverse cost conditions from collected data and report findings

Location and other Key Details:

- You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way. This location is not accessible via public transportation.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
