**Position Summary**:Prefera Finance is in search of a driven, motivated, enthusiastic person with a positive can-do attitude to join our fast-growing team in the consumer finance industry as a full-time Insolvency Specialist As an Insolvency Specialist, you will analyze and manage our clients' accounts who are experiencing a credit insolvency and who may be in default of their contractual obligations. You will work with clients and/or License Insolvency Trustees (LIT) to strategize payment plans to arrange past due payments and/or for asset recoveries reasons while meeting monthly targets and goals while seeking positive resolution towards account defaults.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Providing superior customer service while addressing customer concerns and updating account information
- Supporting all key functions and communications with LIT
- Ensure our lien on assets have been perfected
- Create payment plans, negotiate payments with debtors while also provide written correspondence regarding any outstanding balance due
- Leave accurate notes on all accounts worked via our internal platform
- Submit and follow up with LITs on insolvency documents while confirming customer intent
- Review and refer qualifying accounts for potential asset repossession and/or disallowance

**Education & Experience**:

- Previous work experience in a call-center work environment/equivalent.
- Previous work experience in providing excellent customer service.
- 3-5 years Insolvency experience is required.
- 1-3 years Collection experience is required.
- General understanding of PPSA, RSLA registrations.
- Extensive experience towards Consumer Proposals & Consumer Bankruptcies and applicable acts.
- Experience with asset repossessions.
- Diploma/Certificate in related industry is an asset, but not required
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office, previous work experience with Excel is an asset.
- Post-secondary education or related equivalent experience. Insolvency Administrator Certificate is an asset etc.
- Great interpersonal skills to deal with team members, staff, and clients.
- A team player who can work independently and take ownership of their work volume.

- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Fluent in writing and speaking English & French (An asset not required)
- Credit knowledge is an asset
- Identify risk trends and patterns and escalate to management as required
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and company software systems.
- Extremely detail-oriented, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work in response to requests and inquiries.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions / problem solve based on sound judgement.

**Working Conditions**:

- Works indoors in adequate workspace, with adequate temperature, ventilation, and lighting.
- Normal exposure to noise, stress and disruptions.
- Must be able to sit at a computer for long periods throughout the workday, with intermittent periods of standing, walking to carry out essential duties of the job.
- Standard 37.5-hour workweek, Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM
- **Required to travel to our offices located in Etobicoke, ON approximately 1-2 times per week.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $46,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
