J with a K Music is an innovative traveling music school in Toronto that goes beyond offering teachers and students the "standard" private lesson We are looking for passionate **voice, piano, **and **guitar teachers**, with academic and/or professional performance experience, to join our talented team to teach students of all ages.

Of course we take on the regular administrative tasks that all music schools offer. WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

WHAT WE OFFER:

- Private or Group music lessons in students homes, public / private schools, daycares, and online.
- Performance Opportunities Casual open mics along with formal concerts are booked throughout the school year.
- Special music events such as Summer camps, Birthday parties, and Team-Building Activities.
- Rock Band Programs at professional rehearsal spaces in Toronto. J with a K Music is the main exam center in Toronto for all Rockschool® exams and all instructors have access to the curriculum (_If you're not familiar with the Rockschool® curriculum, we encourage you to check it out._)

At the end of the day, our main goal is to grow students' love of music at whatever age or level

Job Summary:

- Teach in-person music lessons located at the student’s home
- Teach online music lessons (_Online lessons are taught from your home, please note many students prefer _**in-person**_ _lessons._)
- Teaching music to ALL ages
- Create fun and innovative lessons
- Be a part of a team: Motivated to work alongside like-minded, passionate music educators, and be a part of the community of the music studio.
- Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare students for goals such as: Exams, Competitions, Festivals, and Performances

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Commitment from January 2023 until the end of the school year.
- Providing a current background check or vulnerable sector (_or open to having one done_)
- Must be reliable, dedicated, motivated, and be well-versed in many musical genres

J with a K is a traveling music school and conducts lessons in-home. As such, having a vehicle is considered an asset. Applicants must be willing to travel to student's homes. In your cover letter, please list your preferred method of travel AND the neighbourhoods / areas of Toronto you are open to traveling to.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
