**Elder Abuse Resource Coordinator, Seniors’ Safe House**

The **Elder Abuse Resource Coordinator** will **work towards improving the cultural safety of existing elder abuse intervention and prevention services offered by the Seniors’ Safe House**. They will use an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach by developing relationships with partner and community organizations to **create sustainable, culturally relevant, elder abuse intervention strategies, supports and networks**, as well as providing system navigation and training related to their findings in order to **support older adults from diverse communities who could be vulnerable to or have experienced abuse**.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in or related to Social Work, Community Development, Public Health or Sociology
- Must provide an enhance criminal record check from the Edmonton Police Service
- Fluency in multiple languages an asset
- Lived experience with migration to Canada an asset
- Vehicle required; valid Class 5 driver’s license and $2 million liability insurance
- Experience developing and facilitating presentations; provide public awareness opportunities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
- Experience assessing services and supports; building and maintaining a network
- Have a clear understanding of inclusive, anti-oppressive practice
