**Learning Support and Electives Teaching Position**
School District 10 (Arrow Lakes) has the following continuing teaching position effective the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

We are seeking an innovative and passionate educator who embeds 21st century learning into their daily teaching practice. Strengths in collaboration, co-planning and co-teaching in classrooms are critical, as well as the ability to improve student engagement, learning and differentiation to meet the needs of all learners in an inclusive classroom environment.

**Required characteristics and strengths include**:
a) Course work specialization and experience in diversity/special education. This may include post-baccalaureate courses in diversity or inclusive education, or enrolment or completion of a Masters program in Diversity, Inclusive Education or Special Education
b) Experience in teaching secondary electives
c) Demonstrated exemplary skills and experience implementing technology to support learning, teaching and assessment
d) Proven ability to co-design, model, and implement successful classroom-based assessment and learning interventions for diverse learners, students with special education designations, vulnerable learners
f) Demonstrated proficiency in creating student learning and success plans with classroom teachers
g) Outstanding organizational and classroom management skills in multi-age classroom settings
h) High level of proficiency in working in a collaborative team setting with classroom teachers to impact learning for students and School-Based Teams
i) Strength in reviewing informal and formal assessment data to plan for future instruction and enhance student engagement and achievement
j) Competence in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating student learning plans (SLPs) and individual education plans (IEPs)
k) Commitment to co-creating School Growth Plan
l) Commitment and expertise in building relationships with parents, community partners and community
m) Successful experience integrating socio-emotional learning and self-regulation in learning environments
n) Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous cultures and experience and integrating First Peoples of Principles of Learning into teaching practice
o) Willingness to participate in the school's extra-curricular programs will be an asset
