Arrow Lakes Hospital is seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant to join the healthcare team based in the pristine lakeside community of Nakusp, in the West Kootenay region of B.C. This position works Monday to Friday day shifts. This position is also assigned to our New Denver location on Mondays and Wednesdays, and therefore a valid B.C. drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle are requirements of the position.

What will you work on:

MLAs perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the LIS and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.
