Summary:

**Duties**:
Provides security for U.S. Government - USG facilities, employees, and family members by performing procedures to detect, recognize, and report on surveillance directed against U.S. Government facilities and/or personnel and provides support directly, or by calling for assistance. In case of an imminent attack, calls for immediate assistance and takes action to prevent injury and death to personnel, and destruction of property.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one (1) year of military, policy, or private experience in the field of security is required.
- Education Requirements:
Completion of high school is required.
- Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: English - limited knowledge reading/writing/speaking is required. French - good working knowledge reading/speaking is required. "**This may be tested**"

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess a valid basic driver's license.

- IMPORTANT: Applicants who claim status as a preference-eligible U.S. Veteran must submit a copy of their most recent DD-214 (“Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty”), Letter from Veterans’ Affairs which indicates the present existence of a service-connected disability dated within the past six months, equivalent documentation, or certification. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
