What you'll be doing

As an Associate, Institutional Client Experience, you'll serve as a key member of our dynamic and high-performing team working in collaboration with the institutional asset management teams in the delivery of strategy and firm content across global consultant database. You’ll be responsible for leading the consultant databases management on quarterly and ad-hoc basis. You’ll be a key contributor responding to client and consultant informational inquires that helps to deepen client relationships and build upon CIBC AM’s reputation as a trusted advisor. You’ll collaborate on operational and technological business improvement initiatives to achieve efficiencies and improve the overall client experience.

How you'll succeed- Manage Global Consultant Database - Lead and own the quality and timeliness of the database content across global consultant database. Work with internal (e.g., Investment teams, Performance team, etc.) and external teams (Nasdaq OMNI). Manage firm and strategy content in the global investment management databases (e.g, eVestement, etc.). Review investment strategy profiles completed by analysts and provide insightful feedback. Leverage data across global databases to continuously enhance CIBC AM’s content input and produce competitive analysis.- Investment Management Proposals - Contribute to the client solutioning process by collaborating with the Senior Associate, Institutional Client Solutions, the Client Portfolio Manager team and the Institutional Client Relations team in completing customized Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs).- Continuous Improvement Spirit - Work in collaboration with institutional team on ad-hoc continuous improvement projects, including operational and technological business improvement initiatives to achieve efficiencies and improve the overall client experience. As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.- Asset class knowledge - Work alongside Client Portfolio Managers to support the creation of asset class materials for the institutional client audience, including client presentations, pitchbooks, commentaries, and other ad-hoc projects for clients and prospective clients.- Relationship building - Communicate with external consultants, clients and prospective clients for the purposes of responding to specific information requests. Participate in consultant/prospective client meetings. On a regular and ongoing basis, interact with all functional areas of the firm up to, and including, the Senior Management level. Contributes to the support and deepening of institutional client relationships, and to the growth of the institutional asset management business. Ability to collaborate with colleagues to meet the requirements of high-quality materials and communications.- Compliance responsibilities - Comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls. Any communication materials that are issued must adhere to the policies that are applicable to our business unit.

Who you Are- You are client focused. You are driven by promoting the client experience in all that you do, and you have a demonstrated ability to build trust and confidence in managing relationships with clients.- You can demonstrate a good knowledge of traditional and alternative investment solutions. You have at least 2-3 years of investment industry experience, with exposure to all major asset classes. You have good understanding of most asset classes and different types of institutional clients.- You are a strong communicator. You possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop succinct communications to connect with a wide variety of institutional clients and your influencing skills are sufficient to compel diverse groups to align to common goals with an ability to communicate up, down and across the organization.- You are a collaborator. You have a collaborative spirit and a proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key client and internal stakeholders and you are able to work closely with a wide and diverse range of groups and functional dis
