Applications are invited for the position of Manager, International Advising Services in the International Student Services Division, located at the Welland Campus. This position is temporary and approximate dates of the appointment are October 2024 to April 2026.The salary range is $85,529 to $106,911 for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Leads the development, execution and management of a comprehensive international student advising strategy
- Manages the international advising team in developing and implementing systems and practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and college policies and procedures
- Provides expert support to the International Advising Services team by handling complex academic and immigration advising cases, as well as crisis management situations that require escalation, ensuring sensitive issues are addressed with precision and in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate the development of key information related to immigration and academic advising services for international students in collaboration with various academic advising departments and other relevant areas as required
- Monitor and support immigration information developed and shared by the International Student Advisors (ISAs), who are Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIA) or Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC) certified
- Liaise with various departments and areas across Niagara College, including academic faculties, administrative units, student services, and the Registrar’s Office, to ensure effective international student service and support
- Responsible for all aspects of staffing through effective recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance management and evaluation, professional development, and training, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all College financial and human resource policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Global Development, Education, Social Sciences or similar field of study
- Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in teaching/coaching, academic or immigration advising, admissions, supervisor and managerial experience
- Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) or Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) is a requirement
- Experience in a multi-cultural setting gained from working in an international environment or working/living abroad
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service and advocating on behalf of diverse populations
- Exceptional at fostering collaboration and trust, possessing superior interpersonal and communication skills, with an outstanding ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Fluency in a second language is preferred
