**JOB SUMMARY**
Niagara Region has an Employee Services Intern position for 35 hours per week available within the Human Resources Division.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Employee Services Operations, the Employee Services Intern will work directly with the Employee Services Assistant to respond to customer inquiries, support the activities of the Employee Services team and execute processes to support Human Resources client services. This generalist role is critical in the provision of HR services to our various internal and external partners.

As the first point of contact for the Human Resources department, the Employee Services Intern receives requests and inquiries from internal employees, external clients and the general public, initiating workflow for all HR teams including Payroll/Benefits, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Health Services, Organizational Development and Labour Relations.

**EDUCATION**
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalency (ex. GED), plus
- Recently graduated within 12 months from a Human Resources diploma/degree program or Office Administration program

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and in a group environment
- Ability to reliably meet deadlines and project objectives
- Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills
- Previous administrative experience is required.
- Payroll or Human Resources experience is preferred

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Must provide proof of recent graduation within the past 12-months
- In accordance with the Corporate Criminal Record Check Policy, the position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate
