**New Product Developer**

**FOOD MANUFACTURING REQUIRED**

From humble beginnings, Agrocrop; a proudly packaged Canadian company that has grown through persistence, focused efforts, appropriate risk taking with a commitment of discipline. Our products are plant-based nutrition sourced from around the world such as beans, lentils, rice, and quinoa to name a few that ships from either of our 2 (Bolton, ON and Calgary, AB) manufacturing facilities and proudly lands on consumer plates.

**The Role**:
Agrocrop is looking for an experienced Product Development Resource with a growth mindset. Reporting to the Director of R&D, this position will be responsible for the development of products within multiple product categories, Reverse engineering products for Private Label will be a large component of this position. Taking the project from bench through all the processes to full scale up and production.

Working with a newly created team within a high growth organization and category. Very fast paced environment with exposure to several products.
- **THIS IS A NEW POSITION FOR A NEW DIVISION WITHIN THE BUSINESS AND THERE IS NO WEBSITE UP AS OF YET. THE NEW DIVISION WILL INVOLVE READY TO EAT PRODUCTS OF SEVERAL DIFFERENT VARIATIES. IT WILL ALSO INCLUDE PRODUCTS THAT MAY REQUIRE REFRIDGERATION, THIS IS NOT FOR OUR DRY PACAKAGED GOODS BUSINESS.**_

**The key priorities for this role include**:

- Create prototype formulations and submit to customer for feedback. Revise as needed
- Design and development of food products
- Testing of prototypes
- Creating samples for customers and production
- Develops and refines the processing of ingredients into food products and determines nutritional values
- Documents ingredients, formulations and processes
- Performs all testing required for new products
- Participates in sensory evaluations
- Runs plants trial and responsible for full scale up - from bench to plant (dependent on production schedule)
- Ensure product meets food safety parameters
- Set up products through commercialization process
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas
- Facilitate the preparation and execution of internal working sessions and customer presentations
- Other duties as assigned
- Update PD information on a daily basis

**Qualification**:

- 3-4+ years’ proven working experience as a FOOD product developer
- Manufacturing experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Suite
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate information clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, fast learner, and quick thinker.
