**Accounting Coordinator, Full Time, Permanent**
**What We Will Ask of You**:As a key member of our Finance team, our Accounting Coordinator provides accurate and timely financial information. On most days you’ll be taking a flexible and collaborative approach to complete transactional work following the direction of the Financial Controller and in collaboration with other members of the team within our dynamic work environment.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Collect, process and file all Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivables (AR) requests including; agency funds, grants, program and staff expenses.
- Prepare deposits and take them to the bank. o Prepare and process electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments on a weekly basis to registered vendors, Outside Paid Resources (OPR’s) and Service User families.
- Provide monthly expense report to Controller for Board of Directors (BOD) approval. o Prepare monthly financial statements for Board of Directors and Program Managers.
- On a monthly basis, update ACM worksheet based upon weekly transactions. o Support year-end fiscal activities.
- Oversee internal office supply purchasing working in collaboration with the finance team.
- Conduct bank reconciliations as well as agency credit card reconciliations. o Occasional payroll administration as required.
- Process monthly expenditures.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or other related field.
- 3+ years of generalized experience in variety of finance related areas: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation. o Experience with payroll administration is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, collaborative communicator, well organized with an excellent ability to prioritize, multi-task and take initiative.
- Annual completion of a Criminal Background Check/Declaration, including Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
- Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with team members, community partners and other stakeholders.
