**Controller**

G&P Welding and Ironworks, a custom steel fabricator based in North Bay, Ontario requires a hands-on experienced Controller to manage their Accounting/Administrative Department.

Bilingualism would be an asset for this position.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Month-end reconciliations and closing procedures to prepare accurate monthly financial reporting on a timely basis.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger activities
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, and internal controls.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition.
- Oversee the Job Costing for all projects and report on profitability of the jobs.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Provide general IT administration of entire system.
- Annual review engagement and working papers.

Skills and Knowledge:

- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with other departments, clients, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Able to effectively prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP Software (Global Shop Solutions)
