Applications are invited for the position of Associate Dean, School of Business & Management Studies located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. The salary range is $104,262 to $139,013 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Reporting to the Dean of Business and Environment, this dynamic individual will lead the School of Business and Management, as it continues to develop as a centre of excellence in all forms of business and administrative support training. The School offers a range of diploma, graduate certificate programs, and two honours degrees in Business Administration. The School of Business and Management has outstanding facilities for the delivering a wide range of programs and experiential opportunities that draw students from both the Niagara and Global market. Faculty, staff and students actively participate in research and innovation projects, as well as a wide range of industry-based experiences.

The Associate Dean is accountable for providing academic and administrative leadership, supervision and direction to the faculty, staff and students in the School. Maintaining a high level of performance through effective recruiting, selecting, developing, motivating, evaluating and training of faculty and staff within the school is a key function of the Associate Dean. This role also includes the planning, developing and ongoing review of full-time and part-time post-secondary programs and services, ensuring that the programs are effectively and efficiently delivered and relevant to the needs of college students; financial management (developing, establishing and monitoring budget for the area); managing the daily operations of the School of Business and Management; establishing external and internal relationships with appropriate industry and business representatives, professional associations and alumni, establishing relationships with appropriate stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree in a related discipline
- Minimum nine (9) years combined experience which includes management and industry experience with a minimum five (5) years of successful teaching at a post-secondary level
- Demonstrated knowledge of the community college environment (adult learning, curriculum and program development, learning assessment, student retention and engagement strategies, program and services evaluation, marketing, and applied research)
- Proven development abilities in moving ideas from conceptual to operational
- Advanced team building, collaboration, and networking abilities
- Superior skills in communication, problem solving/conflict resolution, organizational, and prioritizing within a multi faceted role
- Experience in academic leadership
- Enrolment management and budgeting experience
- Experience with supervision of staff within a unionized environment
