**Your functions**

The Advisor, Strategies and Events, plays a key role in our organization’s international outreach and in promoting our products and services in all our markets. Reporting to the Team Leader - Marketing Communications, you develop various event strategies and implement numerous client-experience and event projects.

**Your main responsibilities**
- Develop event strategies for large-scale projects with the different participants involved
- Collaborate in planning and managing the calendar of external events and trade shows that GIRO’s employees participate in, monitoring progress and post-event feedback
- Plan, develop, organize and coordinate GIRO’s virtual and in-person events, e.g. User Group meetings, in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Negotiate contracts with external suppliers for goods and services related to events
- Coordinate participation, registration and logistics (e.g. exhibition space, equipment at booths, promotional items, etc.) with different stakeholders in connection with our delegates’ attendance at different local and international events
- Manage occasional projects related to the client experience or initiatives to improve future events
- Give advice and make recommendations related to event management to maximize results, ensure objectives are achieved, and improve our future activities
- Keep up-to-date with trends related to events; research solutions, information, and suppliers to integrate best practices
- Collaborate in continuous improvement of practices and tools in the Marketing and Client Experience team to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the different activities

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- More than six years of relevant experience in organizing events and promoting the client experience
- Experience in businesses offering B2B products and services
- Experience in the passenger transport industry or in a software-development company - an asset
- Solid background and proficiency in best practices related to virtual and in-person events
- High ability to plan, organize, and carry out several projects end-to-end at the same time
- Client-oriented, extremely versatile, and able to adapt
- Excellent ability for interpersonal communications and teamwork
- Sense of initiative, high autonomy, and attention to detail
- Able to travel internationally occasionally, to scout out locations or participate in certain events
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
