**About us**

Truro Agromart Limited is locally owned and affiliated with the Agronomy Company of Canada, operating a fertilizer and crop input business located in Onslow, Nova Scotia. The business receives, stores, and ships fertilizer products as well as other crop inputs to growers in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

We have an immediate opening for an **Administrative Assistant**. Reporting to the Office Managers, you are responsible for waiting on retail and farm customers, as well as administrative office processes.

**Term**:One year full-time

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate point of sale for retail customer transactions
- Answer phone; take messages, direct calls, take customer orders
- Arrange courier shipments
- Operate truck scale
- Filing/organization of paperwork

**Job Qualifications**:

- Experience in customer service an asset
- Administrative experience an asset
- Educational background in Business or Administration required
- Confident with computers and Microsoft-based programs
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, in person and on phone
- Able to provide prompt, friendly and professional customer service
- Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently for time sensitive tasks
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work overtime; earlier and extended hours may be required in spring season
- Familiarity with or background in Agriculture an asset
**Wage**: Based on experience and qualifications.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $18.00-$29.00 per hour
