Documentation and reporting are a key part of this role. You will utilize an online reporting system to prepare detailed, written documentation of all security and life safety incidents. This position requires a high degree of critical thinking, sound judgement, discretion, and de-escalation techniques. Sound working knowledge of legislation, policy, and legal authorities is a necessary skill. **Required Qualifications**:
High School diploma or equivalent. Active (or eligible) for appointment as a Community Peace Officer with enforcement duties involving the public, as identified by the Province of Alberta/Solicitor General. Successful completion of Alberta Health Services or Alberta Justice and Solicitor General Community Peace Officer Induction Training Program (6 weeks program). Valid Class 5 (non-GDL) Driver's Licence. Valid Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (P.A.R.E.) completed under 4:45 minute, within 6 months prior to commencing employment.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Active or eligible to become a Community Peace Officer appointment by Alberta Solicitor General. Alberta class 5 operator’s license, or a provincial equivalent, with no more than four demerits and no charges or pending suspensions. Current Standard First Aid and Level C CPR.
