Category Specialist

Sahah Naturals is seeking a full-time category specialist, from Monday to Friday (8AM - 4PM EST). Sahah Naturals is a dynamic and innovative company in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. We are looking for a talented Category Specialist to join our team and to bring products to life for our brands. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership in sourcing and developing new products from ideation to final product, contributing to our success.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Product Research: Research new product concepts and ideas for both brands (PB&Me and Matteo’s) that fit our criteria and consumer trends.
- Product Evaluation: Perform analysis and product reviews, evaluations and comparables to determine if product meets our initial criteria.
- Participate in weekly product review meetings.
- Research and evaluate potential vendors for both finished goods and raw materials. Engage with potential vendors to obtain samples and costing, negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
- Prepare costing sheets and pricing templates.
- Obtain and manage compliance documentation from suppliers.
- Coordinate packaging design and formulation for all new products.
- Prepare, review and maintain price lists.
- Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools such as Slack and Asana to manage product development effectively, ensuring they are completed within deadlines.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all design materials, ensuring a consistent and professional appearance.
- Participates in weekly product and team meetings.

**Requirements**:

- ** Education**:Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- ** Experience**: 1 year of relevant experience
- ** Resourceful**: Ability to take an idea/concept and see it all the way through.
- ** Action Oriented**: Engaged and proactive to ensure ideas and products are moving along efficiently.
- ** Excel & Finance Skills**:Strong excel skills with a good understanding of product costing and pricing.
- ** Project Management**: Ability to manage multiple product streams and developments simultaneously, maintaining an organized workflow.
- ** Adaptability**: Flexibility to adapt to evolving design needs and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- ** Tech Saavy**:Comfortable with technology (Slack, Asana)
- ** Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience in CPG an asset
- ** English Language**: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
