**What would a typical day look like?**
- Provide strategic advice and counsel to leaders on HR initiatives that drive JMP Solutions business strategy and align with our purpose
- Be a trusted advisor by understanding the priorities and operating environment of JMP Solutions Divisions to develop and implement an HR and Talent plan grounded in the business strategy
- Coach and enable leaders and management to be more effective leaders.
- Drive discussions related to workforce planning and organizational design changes and provide recommendations.
- Partner with the business to effectively lead through change with a focus on employee experience
- Ensure employee development needs are identified and acted upon through developmental assignments or appropriate learning intervention. Embed and promote the total rewards philosophy and approach and drive integrated approach to a positive employee experience
- Enable and coach the business to develop a diverse robust talent pipeline working alongside the Talent Acquisition Team.
- Guide the business on the appropriate HR programs, processes and policies.
**What qualifies you for this opportunity?**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, such as Business Administration, Commerce or Psychology or equivalent work experience
- CHRL or CHRE certifications will be an asset
- Minimum 8 plus years of HR Business Partner experience preferred
- Strong experience in Talent Management and Employee Relations is required
- Experience in Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition is preferred
- Advanced working knowledge of relevant Canada and US employment legislations.
- Strategic and innovative thinker with the ability to prioritize and operationalize practical solutions and activities and meet deadlines in fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
**Physical Demands**:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
