Toronto, Canada BA Folding Cartons Full time

The Print Production Scheduler works closely with production management to establish and drive a schedule that maximizes efficiency, resources, and capacity to meet customer requirements and deadlines in a cost-effective manner.

In addition to the scheduling duties, the Scheduler will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks at various stages of production to ensure that our paperboard packaging meets our required high standards for food safety and quality. You will also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data to share with our clientele, and identify areas for quality control improvement.

**Production Scheduler Responsibilities**:

- Create, monitor and update production schedule in real time
- Plan daily, weekly, monthly and further out to ensure enough work is flowing through plant
- Working closely with Production Manager
- Daily production reports, in addition to mid-month and end-of-month inventory reports for clients
- Ensure raw materials are arriving on time, and are in line with scheduling needs
- Provide target completion dates for clients
- Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
- Inspecting goods or products according to quality and food safety standards.
- Ensuring goods and products comply with company and clientele standards, with regular use of test equipment.
- Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
- Reporting quality anomalies to the supervisor.
- Conducting specific tests, collecting test data, and drafting quality reports.
- Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
- Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
- Some sorting of product will be required.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma or GED. College certificate or diploma in a quality-related field is preferred.
- Experience in Print Production is a requirement
- Experience in Inspection or Quality Technician is preferred.
- Experience using Epicor and Microsoft Excel is an asset.
- Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
- High-level of visual awareness.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Experience drafting reports and collecting data.
- Ability to work alone and well with others, with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
- Ability to stand for long periods, as well as mild bending and twisting when product needs to be sorted.
- Ability to lift cases of approx. 20 lbs.
