**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Production Scheduler will make a positive contribution, enabling Griffith Foods Canada to continue to grow and operate in an effective, efficient and profitable manner.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Prepares weekly schedules (using daily MRP reports) to effectively schedule customer requirements against production capabilities.
- Monitors stock levels, assists in disposition of out of date and off standard inventory.
- Reworks QAW material into new production orders as required.
- Works with OPS, Maintenance, QS, Sanitation to make/update schedules.
- Gather data to assist in preparing for monthly At-Risk Inventory and Loss of Inventory reports / presentation / meetings.
- Analyze inventory aging, expiry, and manage slow-moving raw materials & finished goods. Identify root cause and take corrective action plans to avoid recurrence.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize production losses and identify rework opportunities.
- Analyze inventory turnover rates, review inventory control policies, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and R&D to maximize opportunities and avoid inventory loss.
- Gather and analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas of concern.
- Prepares Loss of Inventory and Exposure Reports as required, providing data and analysis of disposals of raw materials and finished goods.
- Participate in weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly At Risk, and Loss of Inventory meetings.
- Participates in physical inventory as required (work may occur after hours / weekends, on a quarterly basis).
- Acts as backup for Material Analyst and Material Planner.
- Participates in special projects, other duties or tasks that may be assigned as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in supply chain is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 (three) years’ experience in a similar role.
- Superior analytical and administrative skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience in Microsoft D365 preferred.
